Carbohydrates are a macronutrient that have a bad reputation in some nutrition circles. I can’t deny that for some people following a ketogenic diet, they’re seeing weight loss results, but there are a number of factors that are at play including sustainability, micronutrient consumption, and even physical activity. The basic idea of weight loss is that in order to lose weight you must consume less calories than you expend.
